Farhad Moshiri confidants speak out amid fears over short-term future of Everton

Martin Hardy believes Farhad Moshiri has to move quickly as he looks to sell Everton to provide fans with clarity as soon as possible.

777 Partners looked as if they were going to take over the Toffees for months but after some concerns, that appears to be off the table.

Although this may prove to be a positive decision in the end, it leaves Everton short-handed of options at the current moment.

Speaking on Sky Sports News [8 May], Hardy suggested that there is cause for concern at Goodison Park and believes big decisions need to be made quickly.

He said: “Everton fans will be thankful they haven’t been relegated because otherwise the whole thing could have fallen down. But this is a worrying development.

“People who know Moshiri better than me say he can change his mind, for sure, and make big decisions. This has gone on for so long now that it’s threatening Everton’s short-term future.

“For the good of the club, something has to be done very quickly. Supporters need clarity as to what will happen next to their football club.”

How can Farhad Moshiri resolve Everton issues?

There have been many problems at Everton over the years which have all culminated with points deductions this season.

Despite this, Sean Dyche was able to drag his side up the table to secure Premier League safety for the upcoming season.

Off the pitch things haven’t been so rosy as 777 Partners have failed to make a move of any real intent to buy the club.

With their late loan payments for the Toffees, combined with their failure to pay players and staff at Standard Liege, Moshiri has pulled the plug.

There are other options coming to the fore which could pose the question of ownership at Goodison Park but nothing is concrete right now.

Although he will want clarity as soon as possible, Moshiri has to do his due diligence to find the best possible owners to take over.

He has already seemingly rejected 777 Partners so it is clear he isn’t willing to sell to just anyone, which could stand the club in good stead.

In other Everton news, Moshiri’s two Everton wishes were shared in the 777 Partners saga as a deadline has been set.
