Everton make Davinson Sanchez approach with transfer meet soon
Everton are set to meet with Galatasaray over a potential deal to bring Davidson Sanchez back to the Premier League, according to Sabah Sport.
The Turkish news outlet reported that the Toffees have “applied” about the Colombian’s availability this summer, although they would have to pay the asking price of just under £21.3million.
Sanchez only joined Galatasaray at the start of this season, and the Turkish Super League champions-in-waiting are keen to retain him, amidst other reported European interest from Napoli.
Sean Dyche’s side achieved Premier League survival despite two points deductions last season, but financial fair play rules mean they could be forced into selling key defenders to balance the books.
Davinson Sanchez could fill defensive gap for Everton
Everton may have stayed in the Premier League by a comfortable 14 points this season, but that’s done little to alleviate the financial messes off the field at Goodison Park.
With FFP breaches and profit and sustainability rules biting at the cash-strapped club, summer sales are on the cards, with 21-year-old centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite the highest-coveted of any Toffees player.

Rated at £80million, Branthwaite leaving for a fee at least close to that would certainly free up some funds for Dyche to rebuild his squad, albeit also leave a huge void at the back.
Ben Godfrey, James Tarkowski and out-of-favour Michael Keane could be all Dyche has to choose from in central defence, making the club’s approach for Sanchez an understandable one.
The Colombian wasn’t able to nail down a starting place for Tottenham, but in a more compact Everton side, he may well bring the quality he’s shown in helping Galatasaray to a second successive Turkish Super League title.
In other Everton news, Dyche may have been handed a new Amadou Onana blow after what happened in the Toffees’ defeat to Arsenal.
