Farhad Moshiri told to end ‘doomed’ 777 Partners Everton takeover plan
Joe Thomas has urged Farhad Moshiri to remove 777 Partners from the Everton takeover situation at Goodison Park.
The Miami-based group’s takeover of the club has continued to stall since registering their interest in September, casting a shadow of uncertainty over Goodison Park with fears growing.
News has recently emerged that 777 Partners are having to sell Belgian club Standard Liege in order to “survive” rather than help fund their Everton takeover, and fans have become more than frustrated now.
Writing for Liverpool Echo on Saturday (25 May), Thomas wrote: “Moshiri must be proactive and remove them from the takeover picture because time does matter to Everton and he cannot waste more on a plan that is doomed to fail.
“The entity that is 777 Partners will likely flail for some time and Everton’s fortunes cannot be subject to that chaos.”
777 Partners plea made to Farhad Moshiri over Everton takeover
The main sufferers from the uncertainty surrounding 777 Partners’ involvement at Goodison Park are the faithful fans who support their club week in, and week out.
Whole-fire sales of players and administration are eventualities that have already been mooted this season, with it increasingly unclear who will be the new owners of the Toffees.
Fans deserve to know exactly what is happening with their beloved club, and Moshiri’s communication is an aspect that has already been slammed by many.
Having secured their safety in the Premier League, thanks to Sean Dyche and his players, there is one less thing to worry about this summer, though the problems are far more dire than the football on the pitch.

The uncertainty is set to have drastic consequences this summer, with a lack of funds for new players, current members set to be sold, and the club unable to attract signings.
The sooner the takeover is completed, with anyone but 777 Partners, the better.
