Wolves at risk of Max Kilman exit if Everton transfer scenario plays out

Manchester United could turn to Wolves defender Max Kilman if they miss out on a move for Everton gem Jarrad Branthwaite, according to GiveMeSport.

The online outlet reported on Sunday (26 May) that Branthwaite remains United’s top defensive target, but Everton are refusing to budge on their valuation and that could force the Red Devils to look elsewhere.

Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi is said to be one alternative, but the Eagles may also play hardball, potentially then meaning they look at Kilman of Wolves.

Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite valuation

United are quite clearly interested in signing Branthwaite this summer, but Everton are right to laugh off their supposed £50million valuation of one of the Premier League’s hottest young talents.

The Red Devils are hoping to take advantage of the Toffees’ worrying financial situation, yet even then there are other players that can be sold first.

This same report suggests that United could offer £60m for Guehi, which makes that £50m Branthwaite figure all the more remarkable.

The transfer window may not yet have happened, yet we already know the 21-year-old’s future will dominate the gossip columns for the next three months.

All we can hope is that, come the end of it on 30 August, Branthwaite remains at Goodison Park. The only way that will not be the case is if United add a further £20m on top of their own valuation.

In other Everton news, the club are reportedly plotting a move to sign a player that has been given VIP treatment by Man United.
