John Textor consults with business partners to complete Everton takeover
Bryan King believes John Textor is “consulting” with other parties to help him complete a takeover at Everton.
The ex-Goodison scout feels that Textor might not be able to afford a deal on his own.
It comes after a report in The Standard (28 May) revealed that the Crystal Palace part-owner is said to be leading the way to purchase Farhad Moshiri’s majority stake in Everton.
Textor is looking to sell his 45 per cent share in Palace which is owned by his company Eagle Football Holdings.
And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – claims Textor might need some help.
“Is the money he has got the same kind of money which would be required?” King said.
“How much money would he be prepared to put in?
“I would imagine he is perhaps consulting with someone else to go in with him on the purchase of Everton.
“This could be a potential lifeline for the club.”
John Textor could be a hero for Everton at Goodison Park
At this point, Moshiri and Everton will likely take whatever they can get.
With the 777 Partners deal seemingly dead and buried, they need an alternative answer.
If Textor is seriously interested, then supporters at Goodison Park will be hopeful of a deal getting done.

While Textor could provide a lifeline for the Toffees, a lot of work needs to be done at the club, and the 58-year-old will need all the help he can get.
In other Everton news, the club have moved ahead of Leeds United in the race for one player.
