Everton ace Amadou Onana and Barcelona star on updated Bayern Munich transfer shortlist

Everton star Amadou Onana has joined Frenkie de Jong on the updated Bayern Munich shortlist ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Christian Falk.

The German reporter has suggested (4 June) that the Bundesliga giants have a six-name shortlist to add to Vincent Kompany’s squad.

This has seen Toffees ace Onana linked once again with a move away, with Fulham’s Joao Palhinha and Barcelona’s De Jong also being considered as midfield options.

Amadou Onana linked away from Everton again

The Belgian has been one of few transfer success stories for the Toffees over the years where finances have been a problem for Farhad Moshiri.

In the heart of midfield, he has been a consistent force despite featuring less towards the end of the campaign under Sean Dyche.

Everton secured Premier League safety with some time to spare, which could see them potentially keep hold of their star players.

The likes of Jarrad Branthwaite and Jordan Pickford have been linked with moves away from the club to deal with PSR and FFP issues.

Onana has now been linked to various Premier League outfits already this window and Bayern Munich are the latest side looking at him.

The midfielder has great potential and as a box-to-box midfielder could become a top player which has seen him regularly feature for Belgium.

Selling him certainly could help ease financial problems but could damage the Toffees’ side moving forward.

On the flip side, he may be the best option to be sold if one star is forced out of Goodison Park this summer to allow new signings to come in.

In other Everton news, the Toffees want to sign a Premier League forward who is available to move this summer.
