Farhad Moshiri slammed as ‘ridiculous’ 777 Partners takeover twist at Everton emerges
Bryan King has slammed Farhad Moshiri for his “ridiculous” stance on a potential 777 Partners takeover deal at Everton.
The ex-Goodison scout believes supporters of the club will be sick and tired of takeover talk on Merseyside.
It comes after a report in The Mirror (1 June) revealed that Moshiri “feels an obligation” to continue talks with 777 after they loaned the Toffees over £200million during the season.
And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes the club now finds itself with more problems due to the debt owed to the Miami-based investment firm.
“It seems ridiculous,” King said.
“But at the end of the day, that money will now need to be repaid.
“A lot of clubs around the world have money problems created by 777, and Everton are now another one of those clubs.
“For the supporters, I think they are just fed up with the situation and their team fighting relegation.”
Everton supporters won’t have heard the last of 777 Partners at Goodison Park
It is almost laughable that Moshiri wants to continue talks with 777.
After everything that has happened, it is hard to see how the 69-year-old doesn’t realise he is wasting his time.
Once the 31 May had passed, supporters at Goodison Park would have thought they’d heard the last of 777.

However, whether or not 777 continues talks to purchase the club, they will still be linked with the Toffees.
The club owe them £200million, and that isn’t going to be easy to pay back.
