Everton set for ‘huge boost’ with takeover announcement at Goodison Park imminent

Bryan King believes Everton are set for a “huge boost” after a takeover update at Goodison Park.

The ex-Goodison scout claims new ownership at the club is “vital” before next season.

It comes after a report in The Athletic (7 June) revealed that the club are on the verge of announcing that Farhad Moshiri has entered into exclusivity talks with new prospective owners.

And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – is delighted by the update.

“This is a huge boost for everybody involved with the club,” King said.

“To get this takeover tied up and provide some stability is vital.

“Everton are playing in the Premier League next year, they’re guaranteed a vast sum of money from that.

“And a new owner will provide additional finance.

“They can’t afford to play another season with these issues hanging over their head. This news is excellent.”

Everton supporters might be close to a long-term solution at Goodison Park

It has been a miserable year for fans at Goodison Park.

While 777 Partners at one point looked to be the answer to their problems, it quickly became clear that the American investment firm would only bring more issues.

But now, just a week after 777’s exclusivity agreement expired, it looks as if Moshiri has another deal lined up.

There could finally be some light at the end of what has been a very dark tunnel for the football club.

In other Everton news, King has been left shocked by an “enormous” update on a £225million debt at the club.
