Everton strike stadium partnership deal after £20million-a-year agreement

Castore will become a “founding partner” of the new Everton stadium as well as manufacturing the club’s kits, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The newspaper reports that as part of their reported £20-£25million agreement to replace Hummel as the club’s new kit manufacturer, the Wirral-based company have also struck a deal regarding the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.

That deal will see Castore become the first brand to become a “founding partner” of the Toffees’ new 52,888-seater arena on Liverpool’s waterfront, though this doesn’t mean they’ll be given naming rights.

At least £20million per season is double what the Blues were receiving from Hummel, and the Echo’s report states that Castore’s founding partner status will allow them to gain marketing exposure through tiered sponsorship in the new stadium.

Goodison Park has been the club’s home for 132 years, and going into its final hurrah, hopes are high that the Toffees can avoid the chaos which engulfed them last season, including two points deductions for financial fair play breaches [Instagram].

Whoever becomes Everton’s new owner has a bright future to look forward to at Bramley-Moore Dock, but that will still need to come with significant investment to help realise the club’s full potential at their new home.
