Beto approach made as Everton transfer on cards for Jose Mourinho already
Beto could be on the move after just one season at Everton with Jose Mourinho and Fenerbahce keen on signing the Portuguese striker, according to Sabah.
The Turkish outlet reported that the Toffees forward has been a long-term target for the Super Lig side, who have already initiated contact with the 26-year-old as Mourinho looks to add to his attacking line.
Beto arrived at Goodison Park in August 2023 for £25.8million, scoring five goals across 37 appearances in all competitions, but could be heading for an exit if Fenerbahce gets their way.
Under contract with the Blues until 2027, Beto’s first season on Merseyside ended prematurely with a nasty head injury, but it remains to be seen whether the pulling power of Mourinho could see him depart [Instagram].
Beto to seal Everton exit with new transfer?
While Beto’s inaugural season at Goodison Park did underwhelm given the hefty fee paid for him last August, the 26-year-old still ended it as the third-highest scorer in a side shy of scoring many goals.
Not only would Everton be unlikely to recoup the fee they paid less than a year ago, but losing Beto would also leave them with additional business to do in a summer that’s already expected to be hectic on the transfers front [Daily Mail].

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future is clouded as the England forward enters the last 12 months of his current contract, and if that forces the Blues into a sale to avoid losing him for free, Beto could be thrust into the limelight as the first-choice striker [TEAMtalk].

If given the starts and the service, Beto could rack up double figures-worth of goals at Goodison Park next season, providing the reliable attacking output that Dyche craves from a centre-forward.
