Everton target Tammy Abraham open to Premier League return as Roma exit news emerges

Tammy Abraham would find it difficult to turn down a return to the Premier League amid interest from Everton, according to Corriere Della Sera.

The Itallian news outlet reported online (17 June) that the Toffees are one of several Premier League clubs interested in the Roma striker.

West Ham, Aston Villa and Tottenham have also been mentioned as potential suitors.

Roma are hopeful of an auction beginning and have set a price tag of £25.3million for Abraham.

Can Everton afford to bring Roma striker Tammy Abraham to Goodison Park?

Abraham would be a brilliant addition for the Toffees.

Sean Dyche’s side struggled for goals last season and the 26-year-old is an experienced striker with a proven track record of finding the back of the net.

He could help solve some on-field problems at Goodison Park. However, off-field problems at the club might make a transfer difficult.

Competing with Aston Villa and Spurs would already be difficult enough as it is, with both clubs having European football on offer.

However, it is the finances involved that might make a deal impossible for Everton to get across the line.

Until a takeover is complete, it is hard to see the club splashing the cash.

While £25.3million might not be a lot of money for most clubs in the Premier League, it would certainly be considered a lot at Goodison Park at this moment.

As a result, the Toffees could miss out on this transfer, with perhaps their only chance being to strike a loan with an option to buy deal.

In other Everton news, the club and Manchester United are to reach a £50million agreement for Jarrad Branthwaite.
