Everton on verge of Jack Harrison deal as details of Leeds United agreement emerge
Everton are moving closer to signing Jack Harrison on another season-long loan deal from Leeds United this summer, according to The Athletic.
Nancy Froston has reported (19 June) that the deal is not going to include a loan fee but the Toffees will cover his wages across the season.
The Englishman is contracted to Leeds until 2028 but he is said to be “keen” on a return to Goodison Park for a second time.
A deal is not yet complete but is moving closer as Sean Dyche looks set to complete his first signing of the summer.
Jack Harrison set for Everton return
The 27-year-old signed for the Toffees last season and made a positive impression for his performances out wide.
Harrison and Dwight McNeil proved to be a key duo for Everton as they featured on either flank, helping their side to Premier League safety.
Although he had his concerns with injuries, he is certainly a useful player to have at the club as a starter and as a squad option.
With Leeds failing to secure promotion to the Premier League, after losing to Southampton in the play-off final, this deal isn’t a surprise.
It may have been an option to bring the winger in on a permanent deal but with the financial uncertainty of Farhad Moshiri’s ownership, a loan makes sense.

The deal may be delayed with the prospect of Dan Friedkin’s takeover bid which may provide an opportunity to make more summer signings.
Another loan for Harrison is certainly a positive start to the transfer window for Dyche, even on loan.
