Everton want to seal Lamine Camara transfer as Goodison Park update emerges
Everton want to sign FC Metz midfielder Lamine Camara in a deal worth £8.4million this summer, according to Jeunes Footeux.
Writing on their website (18 June), the French news outlet report that the Toffees are keen to sign the Senegal international after Metz were relegated to Ligue 2 in the 2023/24 season.
The 20-year-old is also coveted by Galatasaray, Mainz and Fulham with his current club looking to receive a fee of around €10million (£8.4m) to let him leave.
Everton want to sign new midfielders
The midfield area at Goodison Park has begun to empty out this summer with Andre Gomes and Dele Alli leaving at the end of their contract, and Amadou Onana expected to leave too [TEAMtalk, 15 June].
That means reinforcements are needed for Sean Dyche’s squad and while the club are in advanced talks to sign Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa, Camara would also add youth and quality to the side.
Despite being just 20 years old the midfielder already has 20 caps for Senegal at senior level and has played top-flight football, which means he shouldn’t need too much time to develop and be ready.

Defensively he is solid with great ability to read the game and break up play, but he also is a quality set-piece taker and that would add a new dimension to Dyche’s team too.
With such a big emphasis on set-pieces with his style of play it makes sense that Dyche be interested in this deal, and it’s one to watch in the coming weeks.
