Everton transfer development emerges as bid made for Iliman Ndiaye

Everton have submitted a bid to Marseille in order to secure the services of their striker Iliman Ndiaye this summer, according to Foot Mercato.

The French media outlet reported on 20 June that the Senegal international is the transfer priority No.1 for the Toffees this summer.

They’ve understood to have been tracking him for months in France and the future is uncertain for the 24-year-old in the coming weeks.

Iliman Ndiaye’s performance in 2023/24 does not make for great reading from an Everton standpoint

Ndiaye could be a valuable addition to the Toffees side, offering versatility and creativity in the final third and he was on their radar in the January transfer window as well, per L’Equipe.

The Senegalese forward has shown his ability to score and create goals, but his performances in 2023/24 were a tad underwhelming.

He only managed three goals and five assists in 30 league games and he’s surely going to have to improve on that output if he is to move to Goodison Park.

His pace and ability to take on defenders make him a threat in attack and stylistically, he should be a good fit for the Premier League.

Ndiaye’s flexibility to play across the frontline and as an attacking midfielder will add depth to the squad.

The fact that he’s been tracked for months and an offer has already gone in means that this is someone Sean Dyche wants at the club as well.

Hopefully, he can strengthen the playing eleven and can go on to become a success at the club.
