Everton stance on deals for Manchester United duo Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof shared

Everton have “no interest” in signing Manchester United duo Victor Lindelof or Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the summer transfer window, according to the Liverpool ECHO.

The newspaper reported via their website on 26 June that they were being linked with a move to the Toffees as part of a potential player-plus-cash deal for Jarrad Branthwaite.

However, the Echo says their understanding is that neither player is on Everton’s radar and thoughts either player could be used as a makeweight for Branthwaite can be “discounted”.

Why Everton not getting Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a good thing

Despite needing reinforcement across the pitch, moves for the United duo wouldn’t have been the smartest of plays in the book.

A move for Wan-Bissaka in particular would not make much sense as both Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson currently occupy that role.

Indeed, a departure from the defensive line could have forced the Merseyside club’s hand in going for one of the two, but evidently this is no longer on the table.

Wan-Bissaka and Lindelof are both facing uncertain futures at Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag looks to make improvements to his squad at Old Trafford.

But any move involving the pair would have to make sense for Everton and, while there still concerns over their PSR situation, there is seemingly no panic from the club over making panic sales or doing deals that don’t work for them.

Everton will want to add more bodies during the window but it looks as though Wan-Bissaka and Lindelof won’t be among them.
