Everton line up Dominic Calvert-Lewin replacement with quick Che Adams transfer
Everton have already undergone a lot of changes since the summer transfer window opened.
The Toffees have welcomed Jack Harrison, Tim Iroegbunam, and Iliman Ndiaye to their squad and are looking to avoid another relegation dogfight.
Granted, Harrison was part of the squad last term but his addition is no doubt a welcome boost to the attacking ranks, especially since Arnaut Danjuma has now returned to his parent club.
Although as part of the overhaul, Sean Dyche will likely not want to lose any of his star players this summer, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a name that has been consistently linked with a departure.
In fact, on 4 July it was reported by Graeme Bailey that the striker has rejected a new contract offer from the club [Everton News]
If the striker does leave Goodison Park this summer, a replacement would need to be found.
Enter, Che Adams.
Why Everton should sign Che Adams as a Dominic Calvert-Lewin replacement
The Toffees have been linked with a potential move for the former Southampton man, who is now a free agent [Birmingham World, 4 July].
Although a plethora of strikers have been linked with a move to Everton this summer, a deal for Adams was set to be off the table as he had verbally agreed terms with Wolves back in May [TEAMtalk, 17 May].
This is the first time that Everton’s interest has been spoken about since then and although a move could still be some time away yet, it would make a lot of sense.
Adams is a free agent now that his contract with the Saints has expired so his transfer wouldn’t cost the Toffees a penny in transfer fees.

This bodes well for the club as they look to avoid being sanctioned again by the Premier League due to breaches of PSR.
The Birmingham City academy graduate has plenty of experience and could be the answer that Dyche is looking for. He could add yet another attacking option to Everton’s squad and perhaps alleviate some pressure on his teammates.
In other Everton news, the price of Arthur Melo has been raised should the Toffees wish to go for him this summer.
