Arthur Melo wants deal done now as Everton eye Juventus ace
Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo wants his future resolved as soon as possible amid transfer interest from Everton, according to Marca.
The outlet reported on its website on Thursday (4 July) that the midfielder’s priority would be to return to the Premier League this summer as the Toffees continue to monitor his situation during the transfer window.
Teams in Spain and Italy are both also interested in signing the 27-year-old and Arthur is understood to not despise the thought of remaining in the Serie A, despite wanting clarity on his Juventus future quickly.
Thiago Motta wants to see the midfielder in action during pre-season, but there is a belief the Turin club would be willing to let Arthur depart for the right price this summer.
Will Everton sign Arthur Melo in the summer transfer window amid Juventus exit links?
There will certainly be some scepticism around Everton supporters over the potential signing of Arthur this summer, primarily fueled by the Brazilian’s strange loan spell with rivals Liverpool only a couple of seasons ago.
Having been brought to Anfield on loan from Juventus, the midfielder never actually managed to step foot on the pitch for Jurgen Klopp’s side as a string of injury and fitness issues stopped him from making an impact in England.
Although the last thing Sean Dyche’s side needs is another player to waste wages and fail to impress on the field, Arthur showed during his time with Fiorentina last term that he can still be a force to be reckoned with at the top level.

Midfield reinforcements are needed at Goodison Park this summer, especially now that Andre Gomes has departed. The Portuguese midfielder may not have hit the heights expected of him at Everton, but he did end up playing a lot of football last term when fit.
Arthur could be the perfect fit to add a bit of dynamism and control to the Toffees next to the busy bees of Abdoulaye Doucoure and Idrissa Gueye. If he wants a deal done quickly, this could well be one to keep an eye on.
