Jaden Philogene responds as Everton agree brand new transfer
Jaden Philogene has indicated that he would join Everton this summer despite other Premier League interest, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported on 7 July that the Toffees now have an agreement in place for the former Aston Villa man ahead of a potential move.
Ipswich Town is another team who have shown concrete interest with the newly-promoted side even offering a combined £35million for both Philogene and Jacob Greaves.
Why Everton want to sign Jaden Philogene this summer
Everton are readying themselves for a summer of change and have already acquired the services of players such as Iliman Ndiaye [Fabrizio Romano, 3 July] and Jack Harrison.
Last season was a torrid one for Sean Dyche’s men as the club was deducted eight points from their Premier League total.
Although Dyche’s midfield and defence were fairly solid thanks to the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite and Amadou Onana, their attack was fairly weak.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has led the Toffees’ line for many seasons now but could find himself on the way out of Goodison Park with a move to Newcastle being touted.
Granted, Ndiaye and Harrison also play in attack but the former is more of a number nine or an attacking midfielder.

Harrison and Philogene are both wingers but the 22-year-old can be deployed anywhere across the front three, which makes a transfer make sense.
He played 32 games last term and contributed to 18 goals so looks ready to make the step up to the top flight this summer.
In other Everton news, the Toffees may have found their Dominic Calvert-Lewin replacement should the striker depart this summer.
