Galatasaray stance on Davinson Sanchez exit emerges as Everton eye summer transfer
Galatasaray are waiting for Everton to submit a new transfer offer for Davinson Sanchez this summer, according to Aslinda.
The Turkish outlet reported on its website on Tuesday (9 July) that the Toffees saw an €18million [£15.2million] offer rejected for the Colombian international, with the European club instead holding out for €25million [£21million].
Galatasaray’s officials still expect a response from Sean Dyche’s side as they are believed to remain keen on signing the 28-year-old, but Serie A giants Napoli are also understood to be interested in Sanchez.
Are Everton close to any new signings in the summer transfer window?
It feels unlikely that strengthening in the centre of defence will be Dyche and Kevin Thelwell’s number one priority this summer given the impressive exploits of both James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite over the course of last season.
But with speculation still linking Branthwaite in particular with a move away from Goodison Park this summer, it shouldn’t come as a total shock to see the Blues already making one or two succession plans.
Although Sanchez was often criticised by pundits and fans alike during his time at Tottenham for his slightly haphazard approach, he has shown during his time in Turkey that he can still be a very capable defender.

Whether or not Everton will be interested in matching Galatasaray’s valuation this summer could well be another question however as they are unlikely to be in a position to pay over the odds for a player who may only be a rotation option.
This move could potentially entirely hinge on what happens to Branthwaite between now and the end of the transfer window. If the 22-year-old departs Merseyside and the Toffees have millions to spend, they will likely be more than willing to match the asking price.
If not, Galatasaray may be waiting a long time for that new and improved offer out of Goodison Park.
