Jaden Philogene gives serious thought to Aston Villa after Everton transfer news
Jaden Philogene is seriously considering a move back to Aston Villa as Everton remains in contention for his transfer, according to Graeme Bailey.
The Villans have activated a clause within the deal made for the transfer of the winger to Hull that has allowed them to match Ipswich’s £18million offer.
Unai Emery’s team, as well as Everton, have already spoken to Philogene’s camp regarding his possible transfer in the coming days [Daily Star]
What this means for Everton and Jaden Philogene
The transfer saga of Philogene has been ongoing for the last few days and now it finally seems to be coming to a close.
All of Everton, Ipswich, and now evidently Villa are all still vying for the transfer of the Championship star.
It comes as no surprise that Everton have been looking to bolster their attack over the summer window, especially with the rumours linking Dominic Calvert-Lewin with a Goodison Park exit [TEAMtalk, 9 July].
Although some Everton fans may be happy to see the back of Calvert-Lewin, his exit would leave the Toffees in something of a sticky situation.
Dyche would just be left with Beto as a natural number nine should that happen.

Therefore, the addition of Philogene would allow new signing Iliman Ndiaye to move forward and become the focal point whilst the 22-year-old would fulfil the role of Arnaut Danjuma last season.
Although Philogene now looks to be on his way to Villa, the Toffees should keep involved in the chase and throw everything they can at the attacker.
In other Everton news, Alan Myers has shared an update on the Toffees’ pursuit of Yaser Asprilla.
