Everton set new Jackson Tchatchoua fee as another Goodison Park transfer lined up

Everton have been quoted a new transfer fee for Jackson Tchatchoua, slightly higher than the previously reported £6.7million, according to Alfredo Pedulla.

The journalist reported vis his website on Friday (July 12) that Hellas Verona value the versatile Cameroonian full-back at around £8.4million.

This comes as Everton continue to pursue Tchatchoua, despite strong interest from West Ham United [Gazzetta dello Sport, July 12, pages 16 & 17].

Tchatchoua impressed in Serie A last season and is a highly sought-after full-back and winger.

Everton may face competition from West Ham United for Jackson Tchatchoua

Everton’s pursuit of Jackson Tchatchoua could hit a snag with West Ham entering the fray. The Cameroonian defender, valued at under £10m by Hellas Verona, has caught the eye of both Premier League clubs after a standout season in Serie A.

While Everton have been tracking Tchatchoua closely, West Ham’s recent interest shows their intent to strengthen their defence further.

For the Toffees, Tchatchoua’s versatility makes him an attractive target. He can play as a full-back or a winger, offering much-needed depth and flexibility to Sean Dyche’s squad.

Given the relatively small figure quoted – what is £8.4m in this day and age? – it makes total sense to push through a move for the versatile ace now if there is indeed interest.

The battle for Tchatchoua will be one to watch, as both clubs look to add this promising talent to their ranks.
