Everton ready Tanner Tessmann loan after Inter Milan transfer development
Inter Milan are set to sign Venezia midfielder Tanner Tessmann and then loan him immediately to Everton, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The news outlet reports that the Serie A champions are set to sign the 22-year-old American for around £5.8million, and are finalising an agreement with the player’s agent.
But once that agreement is concluded the player will be loaned to Everton for the 2024/25 season, with the Toffees keen to bolster their midfield with his signature [Pro Soccer Wire, 12 July].
Everton to sign Tanner Tessmann?
Considering Everton are also very interested in getting a deal done for the Venezia ace, this would be an odd way to get the deal done.
Inter could be a more appealing club currently to promising footballers, but it also means they aren’t guaranteed to have regular playing time as they would at Goodison Park.
This could be a way for everyone to get what they want, although there would be question marks around why Sean Dyche would develop a player for another club when he already has several options like Tim Iroegbunam and James Garner who he can nurture.

But stranger things have happened in the world of football, and it could be a deal that helps Everton with their financial situation and PSR limits for this year too.
It could be smart, but fans would probably rather develop one of their own than another club’s signing who won’t have a long term future at the club and may not even be better than current options.
