Richard Keys explodes at Everton star who drives him mad after what happened

Richard Keys has admitted that Everton star Jordan Pickford drives him “mad” after watching him at Euro 2024 with England.

The Toffees goalkeeper started and played every minute for the Three Lions as they finished as runners-up for the second consecutive European Championship, following a 2-1 defeat to Spain in Berlin on Sunday (14 July).

And writing in his blog [15 July] about the team’s performance, Keys admitted that he was impressed by Pickford’s performances but revealed that his antics drive him mad.

“The guys at the back did ok – until the final,” he wrote.

“Guehi was the best of them. And the keeper was better than I expected him to be, although his antics drive me mad.”

Jordan Pickford is too good for England

Despite being a consistent performer for the national team and holding the number one jersey for years, there are still people who doubt Pickford.

He is officially the most successful England goalkeeper in history when it comes to international tournaments, barring Gordon Banks’ World Cup win in 1966.

But for some reason, the fact that he shouts at his defenders and gets himself amped up in front of a crowd seems to irk people, and they use it against him instead of focusing on his performances.

Pickford rarely makes a mistake, constantly pulls off big saves at key moments and even steps up in penalty shootouts when needed. He deserves more respect.

At Everton, he is revered for the top shot-stopper that he is, and he knows he is loved at Goodison Park more than he will be anywhere else and that’s why it’s a match made in heaven. Pickford will be Everton number one for years to come, and there’s nobody the fans would rather have.
