Everton to decide on bargain Arthur Melo transfer as Sean Dyche wants Amadou Onana replaced
Arthur Melo is “very interested” in making a return to the Premier League with Everton this summer, GiveMeSport reports.
According to the outlet’s website on 16 July that the Toffees are showing interest in the Brazilian as Amadou Onana heads to Aston Villa with Sean Dyche now prioritising a defensive midfielder signing.
Following a loan at Fiorentina last season Arthur has been offered to Everton as Juventus are “desperate” to move him on so it would be “straightforward” deal to do and also won’t require a “lucrative” fee.
The Toffees are set to decide imminently whether to go for it while Wolves and at least two other Premier League sides have been given a chance to do so as well.
Sean Dyche can sign ex-Liverpool loanee for Everton before Wolves
Arthur’s previous stay on Merseyside saw him make a single Champions League appearance for Liverpool as injury ruined the season on loan.
That has seemingly made him all the more determined to return thanks to having “unfinished business” in the Premier League and could even make Everton all the more suitable as local rivals.
If the money is right then Dyche and Kevin Thelwell might be able to take advantage of the circumstances to pick up a 22-cap Brazilian international for a knock-down price.
Still only 27 he bounced back from his Anfield nightmare to make the most appearances in a season of his career at Fiorentina last term – 48 in all competitions.

Chelsea’s Lesley Ugochukwu is believed to be a target for the second [Foot Mercato, 13 July] and Tim Iroegbunam will figure in the central midfield rotation.
But Onana will follow Andre Gomes and Lewis Warrington out so Dyche will need to decide whether Arthur fits the system enough to be worth the investment.
In other Everton news, a striker will want a six-figure payment from the Toffees if they win the race to sign him this summer.
