Everton urged to finalise takeover deal after Dan Friedkin twist at Goodison Park
Bryan King has urged Everton to finalise a takeover agreement at Goodison Park.
The ex-Goodison scout is hopeful that the Friedkin Group can complete their takeover of the club sooner rather than later.
As reported by Alan Nixon via his Patreon account (15 July), Dan Friedkin is prepared to offer a stake in Everton to George Downing and Andy Bell.
This latest takeover twist suggests Freidkin wants the two Everton-supporting businessmen as part of a new-look setup at the club.
And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes supporters will just be excited to see the current owners of the club move on.
“It isn’t long until the season starts again, around a month away now. Therefore, that takeover needs to go through soon,” King said.
“It will be good to get the deal done, it would be a wonderful boost and a relief for everybody at the club.”
“For supporters in particular, they will just be relieved to get rid of the current board.”
Dan Friedkin to complete a takeover of Everton at Goodison Park?
Supporters at Goodison Park will be desperate for a takeover of the club to go through.
However, they must remain patient. While some fans might be apprehensive about how long it has taken for the Friedkin Group to advance with their takeover, this update will come as a positive one.

Friedkin’s willingness to involve Downing and Bell suggests he is still very much planning to purchase the Toffees, with a deal still seemingly on track.
It also demonstrates that Friedkin has the club’s best interests at heart, with the businessman keen to bring in two men who know what it means to be Everton supporters.
In other Everton news, one player is “ready to pack his bags” with the Toffees interested in a transfer.
