Jesper Lindstrøm undergoing Everton medical as brand-new transfer is complete – Fabrizio Romano

Everton have completed a deal to sign Jesper Lindstrøm, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist reported via X (24 July) that Lindstrøm has arrived on Merseyside to complete his medical with the Toffees.

Everton will pay Napoli a £2million loan fee and cover the forward’s entire salary until June.

The loan includes an £18.9million buy option with a four-year deal in place should the 24-year-old stay on permanently.

Everton set to sign Jesper Lindstrøm after medical tests at Goodison Park

This will come as a much-needed boost for supporters at Goodison Park.

After such a positive start to the summer, with transfers completed and a takeover deal seemingly lined up, things have begun to unravel in recent weeks.

The Friedkin Group’s prospective takeover at Goodison Park collapsed while the Toffees have now said goodbye to their first high-profile payer this summer, with Amadou Onana moving to Aston Villa.

Therefore, the news that a brand-new player has arrived on Merseyside will be music to supporters’ ears.

This is a well-structured deal for Everton, with the club now having the opportunity to see how Lindstrøm settles into life in the Premier League before deciding whether to sign him permanently.

In addition, should the Toffees opt to make his stay permanent next summer, they will likely be in a better-suited financial situation.

As a result, this is a good deal for the club, and fans can now look forward to an official announcement.
