Kalvin Phillips backed to shine at Everton amid Sean Dyche transfer admission
Bryan King claims Everton-linked midfielder Kalvin Phillips would be a good fit at Goodison Park.
The ex-Goodison scout is keen to see the Manchester City midfielder get back to his best.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo (4 August), Sean Dyche has admitted he is keen to add some experience to his squad, with Phillips known to be a player of interest.
And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – feels that the ex-Leeds United ace could be the perfect signing for Everton.
“He isn’t getting any opportunities at Manchester City,” King said.
“I think his future is without any shadow of a doubt, away from the Etihad Stadium. If he wants any chance of getting back in the England team then he needs to be playing regularly.
“I would think that a player like that would do well at Goodison Park. He is a gutsy player who works hard, and fights for every ball, he is the type of player who Everton supporters love.
“It would be fantastic to see him resurrect his career and get back to his previous levels.”
Everton to sign Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City?
Phillips desperately needs a move away from Manchester City if he wants to get his career back on track.
It is unlikely that Pep Guardiola would stand in the player’s way either. That could therefore open the door for Everton to sign the 28-year-old.

Phillips will feel as though he has a point to prove, and Goodison Park, under Dyche, could be the perfect place for him to try and prove that point.
