Sean Dyche wants Kieran Trippier transfer at Everton in new mega wage update
Sean Dyche believes the signing of Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier would benefit his Everton side, according to The Times.
The newspaper reported via its website [22 August] that, having worked with the full-back at Burnley, Dyche thinks Tripper’s leadership qualities would make him an ideal addition at Goodison Park.
It is understood that the signing of the England international would put him in the top wage bracket for the Toffees, with a current salary of around £140,000-a-week at St James’ Park.
Sean Dyche to bring Kieran Trippier to Everton before August 30?
Everton are currently struggling for right-back options. Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson are both sidelined while Ashley Young has been banned after receiving a straight red card against Brighton.
With the links to Tripper, jokes are already being made on social media about the age of Dyche’s squad, but the Magpies defender would be an ideal addition this summer.
Although injuries have become a frustrating trend at Goodison Park, and Trippier has experienced his fair share of setbacks during his time at Newcastle, another leadership figure could be key.
There is still uncertainty surrounding any takeover, and with another points deduction being mooted at Goodison Park [Matt Hughes], the players will need to keep their heads up whatever happens.
The Toffees have been battling relegation for the majority of the past three seasons, though they did eventually finish 14 points clear of the dropzone last term despite having eight points deducted.
Dyche has worked wonders since being appointed, and the signing of Trippier could be yet another intelligent decision at the ship’s helm.

The 33-year-old is an incredibly experienced Premier League defender, boasting nearly 200 appearances, also winning 54 caps for England, many in major tournaments.
It is no wonder why Dyche is keen to bring him to Goodison Park, even if it means investing heavily in the player’s wages.
