Everton transfer news as Harry Tyrer development expected soon

Everton goalkeeper Harry Tyrer is expected to seal his loan move to Blackpool on Tuesday, 27 August, if everything goes as planned, according to the Athletic.

The news outlet reported on 26 August that the two clubs are working towards finalising an agreement for the 22-year-old.

Tyrer has enjoyed successful loan spells previously at Chester City and Chesterfield and now appears set for a League One move.

Everton will be keeping close tabs on Harry Tyrer

The Toffees will closely monitor Tyrer’s progress through regular reports from their scouting network and direct feedback from Blackpool’s coaching staff, focusing on his game time, performance metrics and development in handling higher-level competition.

They’ll expect the 22-year-old to consolidate his position as a first-choice goalkeeper, aiming for clean sheets and improved command of his area and distribution, which are crucial for a goalkeeper’s progression.

Next summer, Everton will likely assess whether the Englishman’s experience has prepared him for potential integration into their first team or if another loan might be beneficial.

They’ll look for signs of maturity in decision-making under pressure, leadership qualities and an ability to adapt to different tactical setups, all of which would indicate readiness for Premier League football.

This loan move is seen as a stepping stone, with the Merseyside club expecting Tyrer to return with enhanced skills and confidence, ready to challenge for a spot or be a valuable asset in their goalkeeping hierarchy.
