Everton in advanced talks for Ernest Nuamah transfer after new developments
Everton have entered into advanced talks with Lyon to sign attacker Ernest Nuamah, according to HITC.
The online source reported on Thursday (29 August) that the Toffees could fend off interest from Premier League rivals Fulham for the 20-year-old ahead of the transfer deadline.
It is understood, however, that any deal with the Merseyside club will be a temporary one, with John Textor attempting a takeover at Goodison Park playing a role in the deal being completed.

Sean Dyche and Kevin Thelwell are clearly not messing around ahead of the transfer window slamming shut at 11pm on Friday 30 August, with several signings still needed for the Toffees.
Fans have been rather excited due to some of the deals done during the summer transfer market, especially after the forward signings of Iliman Ndiaye and Jesper Lindstrom.
Despite this, several holes have emerged in the squad in the first few games of the season, having conceded seven goals and scored none in the opening Premier League fixtures.
While the signing of Mangala should add some much-needed presence in midfield, Nuamah could be even more important, given the lack of goals in the team.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Abdoulaye Doucoure were joint-top scorers in the 2023/24 Premier League season for the Toffees, notching seven each.

If it weren’t for the defensive abilities of Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski, plus Jordan Pickford’s performances in between the sticks, the Toffees’ season could have ended very differently.
Although Nuamah’s move to Lyon has not entirely worked out yet, his record for Nordsjaelland, where he scored 21 goals in 49 appearances, could add a new attacking threat to Dyche’s lineup.
