Orel Mangala to sign Everton contract with late new transfer now sealed
Orel Mangala is set to sign his Everton contract in the next hour ahead of his move to Goodison Park, according to Sacha Tavolieri.
The Journalist reported this via X (30 August) and stated that everything in the deal is now “sealed and completed.”
This comes after a late hijack attempt from Serie A side Fiorentina nearly scuppered the deal for the Toffees [Gianluca Di Marzio, 29 August].
Orel Mangala is a good signing from Everton
Despite Everton’s attack being one of Sean Dyche’s main areas of focus across the transfer window, since the likes of Jesper Lindstrom and Iliman Ndiaye arrived, attention has been turned elsewhere.
Everton has undergone a lot of change since the transfer window opened with players such as Amadou Onana exiting Goodison Park [Sunday Mirror, 28 July, page 73].
And, whilst Tim Iroegbunam was brought in before the Belgium international left the Toffees, from the opening games of the Premier League season, it’s evident that he isn’t yet quite ready for consistent top-flight football.
Mangala will be a solid addition to Dyche’s line-up and, with his Premier League experience, he could be the exact type of player they need to shore up their team.
Especially when star man Jarrad Branthwaite returns, Dyche might have a whole new team to play the remainder of the season with which could help them get out of their current run of poor form.
