John Textor reaction to Everton defeat v Bournemouth revealed as takeover continues – Exclusive
John Textor doesn’t believe Everton will be relegated from the Premier League this season despite their capitulation against Bournemouth, Goodison News understands.
Sean Dyche watched on as his side went 2-0 up against the Cherries at Goodison Park on Saturday (31 August), before they went on to lose 3-2 and hand the Blues their third consecutive Premier League defeat.
Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored in the 50th and 57th minutes respectively for Everton, only for Antoine Semenyo to pull one back in the 87th minute before stoppage-time goals by Lewis Cook and Luis Sinisterra.
The defeat to Bournemouth has left Everton bottom of the Premier League table with zero points and 10 goals conceded.

Goodison News has been told by a source close to Textor that the American businessman was impressed by what he saw from Dyche’s side in the first 85 minutes of the game, leading him to believe that this season shouldn’t result in relegation from the Premier League.
Textor was granted a period of exclusivity in his bid to buy Everton last month. However, the 58-year-old has to sell his shares in Crystal Palace before he can buy wantaway Toffees owner Farhad Moshiri out of Goodison Park.
The Missouri-born businessman’s Eagle Football Holdings is currently the largest shareholder at Crystal Palace, owning 45 per cent of the South London club.
Writing in a statement on his website on 22 August, Textor confirmed he’s looking to sell his shares at Palace in order to “pursue a relation with the Everton club and community”.
Eagle Football also owns French side Lyon, Brazilian Serie A leaders Botofago and Belgian outfit RWD Molenbeek.
