John Textor to ‘throw cash’ at new Everton signings, Jay-Z open to joining bid

Jay-Z is on John Textor’s radar as a potential member of his team as the current Crystal Palace co-owner wants to “throw cash” at Everton signings, according to Alan Nixon.

The journalist reported via his Patreon [15 September] that the New York music artist and entrepreneur could be talked into pumping cash into the Toffees if Textor can complete his purchase of the club over the coming weeks.

It is understood that Jay-Z could be open to joining Textor’s team, with the American businessman needing help to put the millions together to buy Everton and invest in signing new stars.

Could Jay-Z join John Textor’s takeover team at Everton?

This news will emerge as a massive surprise to those at Goodison Park, but it is hardly surprising to see new stars looking to invest in the football world.

Despite the Toffees’ financial issues, having been deducted a total of eight points due to PSR breaches last season, there is a huge opportunity for entrepreneurs to make money at the club.

The building of the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium is nearly completed, which should increase income massively for the Premier League club, but they still need to solve the current takeover drama.

Fans are desperate to know their club is safe to fight another day, with a similar feeling now emerging on the pitch after a poor start to the season, and Jay-Z could be an important part of that.

While Sean Dyche was able to add multiple new faces to his squad this summer, the team still seems to be lacking across the pitch, with the manager now facing doubts over his role at Goodison Park.

Although Jay-Z is an extremely unusual possible investor, fans will be equally excited about the potential of another millionaire arriving on Merseyside.

In other Everton news, a journalist has raised the Toffees as an example as the Premier League are told Manchester City will not win their PSR case.
