Sean Dyche sack may be imminent at Everton after what’s been said on Sky Sports

Everton could sack Sean Dyche “quite quickly” if and when John Textor’s takeover is completed, according to Stephen Warnock.

Speaking on Sky Sports News (16 September, 12:49), Warnock was certain that Dyche will leave the club at the end of his contract next summer but suggested he could be out of the door before then.

Warnock argued that upon the arrival of new ownership at Goodison Park – most likely in the form of John Textor – Dyche’s position could soon come under question if a change of style is brought in.

He said: “Come the end of the season, he’ll go – they won’t renew his contract.

“He’s done an incredible job for them, but it feels to me that the game is evolving and he’s not evolving with it.

“If the new owner comes in, once that’s done you could see a decision made quite quickly on a new person coming in and a change of style. I just worry the players are a little stagnant under his regime.”

Will Sean Dyche see out the season at Everton?

Talk of relieving Dyche of his duties is nothing new at Goodison Park, but that talk is only intensifying in the wake of four straight losses to start the new Premier League season – two of which beggared belief.

Losing back-to-back matches 3-2 having been 2-0 up has made the writing on the wall clearer than ever, and a parting of ways is surely on the cards if Dyche can’t turn it around quickly.

Everton bidder John Textor
John Textor has entered talks with Farhad Moshiri

Textor has been exploring alternative options in the dugout should he take charge in the coming weeks [Alan Nixon, 8 September], leaving Dyche with a very small timeframe in which to save his job.

The American’s primary goals upon taking charge consist of discussing future recruitment with Dyche, and that’s something which could also ring alarm bells for the 53-year-old [Miguel Delaney].

Either way, the onus is now on Dyche to fix this rotten run of form. Starting slowly cannot be an excuse after two capitulations in a row, and that first victory must come sooner rather than later.
