Carlos Corberan is perfect Sean Dyche replacement for Everton

Sean Dyche’s future has been placed under an intense magnifying glass as Everton continued their poor start to the Premier League season.

The Toffees are currently nineteenth in the Premier League and have just one point to their name after the 1-1 draw with Leicester on 21 September.

There’s no denying that recent years have been tough on the club and Dyche, surviving last season despite two points deductions hitting Goodison Park.

With the recent run of form, it’s hardly surprising that a decision on the future of Dyche could be made before October 10 [HITC], with several names already being linked to take over from the 53-year-old.

One of those is Carlos Corberan, the West Brom manager who has them flying high at the top of the Championship and has been linked with the club previously.

While several teams are circling the Spaniard, Everton have been most linked with a move, with Chris Lepkowski “absolutely” admitting the interest was a concern [22 September].

What would Carlos Corberan bring to Everton?

Since arriving at The Hawthorns, the former Huddersfield Town manager has completely turned the Baggies’ future around.

He managed to get the club into the Championship playoffs last term with West Brom now finding themselves among the top contenders once again.

The Spaniard plays attacking high-intensity football and has managed to get the most out of many of his players such as Tom Fellows.

Even though there’s still plenty of time left in the Premier League season for Dyche to turn things around, especially with the potential of new owners coming in, now feels like a good time for a change to be made [BBC Sport Five Live, 21 September].

Next season, Everton will be going into their new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium and they’d much rather go into that as a Premier League side.

Only time will tell if changes will be made but, at the moment, it feels like change is the only thing that would help the club – could Corberan be the perfect replacement?
