Dwight McNeil wowed Clinton Morrison live on Sky Sports as his “fantastic” goal helped Everton to a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace.

“It was a fantastic finish.”

Dwight McNeil is the hero for Everton

Everton well and truly flipped the script at Crystal Palace, overturning a one-goal deficit to record an all-important first Premier League win of the season.

The Blues fell to consecutive 3-2 losses to Bournemouth and Aston Villa after holding a two-goal lead and now they have proven they can overturn a deficit too.

Dyche should receive his plaudits, the decision to move McNeil into the central role behind the striker has paid dividends in recent weeks and has unlocked the attacking potential of his Toffees attack.

The 24-year-old has four goals and two assists in six appearances at the start of the season and has emerged as the Blues’ most important player and saviour to Dyche, the win will ease some pressure on the boss.

The return of Jarrad Branthwaite has certainly had an impact on the Toffees and with the side close to full-strength, this monumental victory could be the turning point that saves the season.
