Everton striker Youssef Chermiti injury update emerges v Newcastle

Everton striker Youssef Chermiti will be missing the Newcastle game at Goodison Park on 5 October as well through injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the Portuguese forward is on the right track with regard to his recovery.

Sean Dyche claimed on 15 September that the 20-year-old was making good progress post his injury.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Chermiti:

Based on what Dyche said, I’d reckon that means he is progressing as anticipated following his minor procedure in mid-August and Dyche also made it a point to mention the long-term nature of the injury.

It’s difficult to say what the day to day is looking like for him because the information has been so vague.

I do not see him back before the international break, at the very least, but he does seem to be on the right track.

Youssef Chermiti has not featured regularly for Everton

Chermiti has struggled for regular game time since moving to Goodison Park, making just one league start and 17 appearances off the bench.

This season, he would’ve wanted to make more of an impact but his fitness has certainly not helped him.

Hopefully, after his minor procedure, he can focus on getting regular minutes and building his sharpness to feature regularly for Dyche’s side.
