Stelling and McCoist rave over Everton ace Iliman Ndiaye, ‘looked lively’
Everton ace Iliman Ndiaye has caught the eye of talkSPORT hosts Ally McCoist and Jeff Stelling, who raved over him live on air.
Ndiaye only has one goal contribution this term but has impressed when given a chance for the Toffees this term and put in a fine showing in the goalless draw with Newcastle United on Saturday (5 October).
Stelling was speaking with McCoist about Everton’s recent performances, which have yielded five points from the past three Premier League games, and stated how he thinks the Senegal international offers a different dimension.
“They just lack a bit of creativity in midfield, but Ndiaye gives them a bit down the flank.”
McCoist was in agreement, replying: “He’s looked lively, I’ve got to say.”
Is Iliman Ndiaye the key to kickstarting the Everton season?
As mentioned, it is just the one-goal contribution for Ndiaye this season, albeit a fantastic goal, but his all-round play should excite Everton supporters.

The Toffees have lacked creativity not just this season, but in previous seasons as well and the rise of form for Ndiaye can only serve as a positive for Sean Dyche’s side who are currently sitting down in 16th.
Should the Merseyside club be able to utilise Ndiaye to his full capabilities, goals will come. With the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin – a proven goalscorer at this level – and Dwight McNeil, a player capable of scoring and creating, Everton are not far way from being able to right the wrongs from the start of the season.
Sean Dyche’s men have a handful of favourable if not must-win fixtures coming up after the international break against teams you’d perhaps expect to be battling it out towards the bottom of the league and if Everton are to avoid being drawn in to that, they need to be capable of winning these games.
In other Everton news, Liverpool will have to “significantly overpay” to secure Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite next summer, according to Ben Jacobs.
