Sean Dyche sack claim shared ahead of Everton v Ipswich Town
Sean Dyche needs to get the fans onside ahead of what is a “massive” run of games for Everton, believes Michael Ball.
The former Toffees left-back told the Liverpool Echo that he thinks the upcoming games are important for Dyche’s future at Goodison Park.
Currently, the Merseyside outfit sit in 16th place and take on Ipswich Town who are in 17th on 19 October at Portman Road.
Ball said: “I think Dyche needs to in order to get the fans on his side a bit more.
“We understand the difficulties he’s been under but if we don’t do the business throughout the rest of October and November then the pressure is going to be on so this is a massive period for the manager.
“The lads have turned a corner now because they’re unbeaten in three and we’re going in the right direction, albeit very slowly. I feel these next few games are very important for Dyche’s future and how the feeling is going to be throughout the Everton fanbase for the rest of the season.
“The start to this season has been similar to a year ago but this season we’ve had opportunities to win games whereas as early on last year, I was struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel with a series of soft defeats.”
Sean Dyche needs to improve the away form for Everton
Everton’s away form under Dyche has been less than convincing, often failing to impose their will on games outside Goodison Park.
The upcoming game against Ipswich presents a golden opportunity for the Englishman to turn this narrative around.
Ipswich, although spirited, are a newly promoted side that the Toffees should, on paper, have the quality to overcome.
A victory here would not only provide a much-needed boost in terms of league standings but also in fan morale and confidence in Dyche’s tactics.
This game is crucial for the manager to demonstrate that he can secure wins against teams expected to be around the relegation scrap, showing that the Merseyside outfit can indeed compete away from home.

Such a win could set a positive tone for the challenging fixtures ahead, reinforcing Dyche’s position and possibly galvanising the team for a stronger run in the season.
