Everton transfer update as Euro giants eye Beto and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in January window
Beto is expected to be targeted over Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the January window amid Juventus interest in both Everton strikers, GiveMeSport reports.
According to the outlet’s website on 15 October the Portuguese is the more likely of the two for the Serie A giants to go after as they look to secure back up for Dusan Vlahovic.
The Old Lady would want a loan deal but the Toffees are thought to have no plans to let him leave.
Beto has only started two of his five appearances this season, both in the EFL Cup, scoring his only goal against Doncaster.

Unless The Friedkin Group are looking to make a splash to kick things off after their takeover by signing a new striker in January there is little reason to let Beto go, especially on loan.
The 26-year-old was a success at Udinese previously, scoring 21 combined Serie A goals in his last two campaigns in Italy before heading to Merseyside.
But even with an eye to play himself back into form he is surely of more use at Goodison Park over the second half of the season.
There would be more of an argument to allow Calvert-Lewin to leave if a club were to come in with a decent transfer offer, given he is well into the final 12 months of his contract.

But that is highly unlikely to come from Juventus when they could start discussing a pre-contract in January for him to arrive for free in the summer.
The Toffees are back in “lucrative” contract talks with the Englishman [TEAMtalk, 13 October] and there has to be hope that the impending Friedkin takeover will tip the balance towards him signing an extension.
Armando Broja is the potential wildcard in this situation as his loan move from Chelsea has yet to see him feature after arriving with an injury.
Should he see action before the New Year and impress hugely it would necessarily push Beto further out of the running so a loan might just make sense.
But even so, with the injury records of the Albanian and Calvert-Lewin extensive, and Youssef Chermiti also out long-term, it would be a risky move to let any forward leave.
