Everton striker Armando Broja injury news emerges with setbacks claim made

Everton striker Armando Broja is likely still a few weeks away from returning to full first-team training post his Achilles injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that his day-to-day routine currently would be progressing his strength and conditioning and seeing if any pain or dysfunction is there as he aims to make his return to senior football.

The Albania international joined the Toffees in the summer on loan from Chelsea but is yet to make his debut for his new club.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Broja: “His day-to-day will be a combination of progressing training, progressing his strength and conditioning and treatment to address any pain or dysfunction in the Achilles or other areas.

The key to avoid setbacks is a gradual, methodical return to play program.

He’s still a few weeks away from joining full team training and the next goal would be to get him on the grass for some individual work.

Armando Broja will help take the pressure off Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Everton

Broja’s return would see the Toffees have a different option in attack and that could be beneficial for Sean Dyche but his fitness issues are certainly a cause for concern.

It would also help take the load off Dominic Calvert-Lewin and could see the manager play a different system as well.

The 23-year-old’s goal-scoring record in the Premier League, both for Chelsea and Fulham, is far from impressive and the hope will be that he could get it right at Goodison Park.
