Jeff Stelling predicts Everton v Fulham, says Sean Dyche has found new ‘goal machine’

Jeff Stelling has backed Everton to claim a 2-0 victory over Fulham in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Saturday 26 October.

Previewing the game, the broadcaster pointed to the fact that the Cottagers have won each of their last three league visits to Goodison.

Nevertheless, he tipped the Toffees to continue their four-game unbeaten streak, having been impressed with their recent run of form.

Stelling also said that Sean Dyche has found an unlikely “goal machine” in Michael Keane, who netted in the team’s 2-0 win against Ipswich Town last weekend.

“Another manager up against his old club, Fulham’s Marco Silva, of course, the former Everton manager.

“Now, Fulham have had a great recent record at Goodison Park and have picked up one or two good results this season as well.

“But, you know, Everton look a side transformed at the moment and, in Michael Keane, they have an unlikely goal machine.

“I think Everton will continue their good run. Everton 2-0 Fulham.”

Everton have Michael Keane selection headache ahead of Fulham clash

Dyche has a decision to make regarding Keane, with Jarrad Branthwaite in contention to play against Fulham after resuming training last week (James Savundra).

One week ago, the former Burnley centre-back would have been a favourite to drop to the bench and make room for Branthwaite.

However, having helped Everton keep two consecutive clean sheets and scored a goal, he is likely to keep his place in the starting lineup against Fulham.

James Tarkowski is a potential candidate to be benched, but he is also expected to stay put for now.

Meanwhile, it is interesting that Stelling has dubbed Keane as a “goal machine” considering the Englishman has only netted twice this season. This is also not the first time he has heaped praise on Keane for his goal against Ipswich.

Nevertheless, the 31-year-old deserves praise for the way he found the back of the net at Portman Road, thumping the ball into the roof of the net from a tight angle.

In other Everton news, a new update on Dan Friedkin’s stance over Dyche amid his attempt to buy the club has dropped.
