Sean Dyche shares Everton injury update v Fulham, Jarrad Branthwaite status confirmed
Everton are set for a major boost as Jarrad Branthwaite is in contention to return against Fulham this Saturday (26 October).
Sean Dyche addressed the media on Thursday (24 October), as per Everton’s official X account, ahead of his side’s return to Goodison Park.
Branthwaite has played just once in the Premier League so far this term, in his team’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on 28 September.
Dyche also offered an update on the progress of Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti.
He said: “Broja has been with the sports scientist with a soft start which will hopefully progress.
“Chermiti’s is a strange injury, very odd, but he’s making progress.”
Jarrad Branthwaite nearing Everton return
It is clear Branthwaite creates a buzz in the side that improves them as an overall outfit.
The Toffees are desperate for him to be a regular on the field once again, with further boosts provided by Nathan Patterson completing a week of training, and Jesper Lindstrom recovering from illness.
Dyche will be looking positively at the coming weeks with the latest injury updates, as Broja and Chermiti make longer-term rehabilitations.
Everton will be looking to impose a marker against Fulham to achieve back-to-back wins, and to go five unbeaten.
Fulham head into the contest off the back of a home defeat by Aston Villa, and an unlucky narrow loss at Manchester City.
With Branthwaite now back available, and therefore surely certain to start, Dyche now has a big call to make at the back.
Everton’s form is improving and the squad is starting to get replenished, so fingers crossed this feel-good factor continues for a while longer yet with three more points this weekend.
