Jermaine Pennant shares new Everton prediction ahead of Fulham clash in Premier League
Everton are more than capable of beating Fulham after “turning that corner” in recent weeks, according to Jermaine Pennant.
Speaking on talkSPORT with Jason Cundy (25 October, 11:23pm), Pennant said he isn’t expecting to see many goals as the Toffees host Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday (26 October).
Sean Dyche’s side are unbeaten in their last four games, picking up two wins and clean sheets apiece, and Pennant doesn’t anticipate Jordan Pickford being beaten by the Cottagers.
He said: “I think there’s not going to be goals in this – I can’t see Everton conceding at home.
“I think at the moment, they’ve turned that corner now, they’ve not lost in a month and I think they look more solid.
“So I’m going with this one with a 1-0 [to] Everton, because don’t forget, they’re not a team that’s flourishing with goals this season.”
Everton defenders will be desperate for strong display v Fulham
After the first four games of the new Premier League season, you would have been forgiven for thinking that an error-strewn Pickford could go the entire campaign without keeping a clean sheet.
The Toffees’ opening quartet of matches saw them ship 13 goals and score just four themselves, losing all four in the process to fall to the foot of the table.

In the weeks since, though – despite their defensive injury crisis hardly letting up – those leaks have been addressed, and another clean sheet against Fulham would make it three in a row for the Blues.
Star man Jarrad Branthwaite’s return to the side is seemingly imminent, but the form of Michael Keane and James Tarkowski has left Dyche with a difficult decision over which centre-back to drop.
With Seamus Coleman and Nathan Patterson also making their ways back amid excellent displays from Ashley Young, the Toffees boss finally has an embarrassment of riches in his bid to keep Fulham at bay.
In other Everton news, Sean Dyche disclosed what he said to one player over the summer after his Toffees contract expired.
