Jamie O’Hara rages live on air at what he saw in Everton draw v Fulham
Jamie O’Hara was left raging at how Everton defended as Alex Iwobi found the back of the net for Fulham in the 1-1 draw.
The Toffees welcomed the Cottagers to Goodison Park on 26 October in the Premier League and went a goal down around the hour mark after a long run from Emile Smith Rowe.
Speaking on talkSPORT [26 October, 18:50], O’Hara was far from pleased with how easy it was to carve through the home side for the opening goal, with Beto saving a point in the final minutes.
“Shocking defending from Everton,” he said.
“Smith Rowe skips past four players, fair play to him. Ashley Young there has got to be better. Good finish. Get round the ball.”
Everton save point in Premier League
With James Tarkowski and Michael Keane at the back, Sean Dyche’s team have looked resolute at the back in recent weeks.
Against Newcastle and Ipswich Town, Everton played brilliantly and managed to keep clean sheets, with Keane seemingly coming into his own with a beautiful goal against the Tractor Boys.
The glaring issues at the back were there to see at the start of the season, though, and while there have been some encouraging signs, things did unravel here.

With Jarrad Branthwaite, arguably the best defender in the team, previously out injured, the Goodison Park faithful have had to hold their breath on occasions.
The Toffees are still counting on the likes of Young at the back, and while the Englishman has been a great servant, he is 39 years of age, and it’s high time the Blues looked for a replacement.
Thankfully, regardless of how bad it was, it is brilliant to walk away with a point.
