Dan Friedkin set to make dramatic changes at Everton and Roma in takeover update

Dan Friedkin is on track to complete his takeover of Everton with everything going to plan, according to Daniele Fisichella.

Speaking on talkSPORT (5 November, 11:23am), the Italian football expert said that once his takeover is ratified, Friedkin will likely make sweeping changes, and could spell the end for Sean Dyche at Goodison Park.

The American investor could also be planning to sell 30 per cent of his shares in Roma, showcasing a “full commitment” to the Toffees as well as opening up the opportunity for extra investment.

He said: “I understand that everything is going to plan, but being a huge operation – around £600million if I’m correct – the sale of Everton is going to take a bit of time.

“Friedkin’s net worth has increased in this year according to Forbes – and sources closest to him said they might be interested in selling the 30 per cent of Roma to other investors.

“(This) will give them obviously extra capital to invest in Everton, but also a full commitment to the Premier League club.

“Probably after the investment they will want a total reset, so things will probably change drastically and dramatically in the near future – perhaps even linking with a new manager.”

Everything has gone silent regarding the takeover at Goodison Park, so this is excellent news to calm any nerves that anyone may have had.

Maybe not so for Dyche, who may be fearing the worst now.

After the defeat against Southampton at St Mary’s on November 2, the trip to West Ham before the international break is huge for Everton and Dyche.

Going into the final break with another defeat and the takeover looming large could spell the perfect time to make a change in the dugout.
