Michael Keane to be axed in Everton clash v West Ham United after what happened
Sean Dyche has no option but to axe Michael Keane from his playing eleven for the Everton clash against West Ham on 9 November.
The Toffees took on Southampton on 2 November at St Mary’s and ended up giving the Saints their first three points of the season with a 1-0 win.
Keane, who quite surprisingly started ahead of Jarrad Branthwaite, who was on the bench, did not have the best of games for the visitors.
Ahead of the game at the London Stadium on Saturday, Dyche surely needs to plan his team with Branthwaite in the starting eleven.
Michael Keane struggled in the Everton v Southampton clash
According to Sofascore, he lost five out of his seven attempted duels in the game – losing two in the air and three on the ground.
As a defender in a Dyche side, Keane needs to be an imposing physical presence and be a bully to ensure that attackers do not have a clean through on Jordan Pickford’s goal but he failed to do that.
He even lost possession on five occasions and made three fouls in the game – errors that he certainly should not be making.
What’s even more baffling was to not see Branthwaite come on until the 88th minute and it was for an attacking player in Jesper Lindstrom.
Managers live and die by their substitutions at times and this one certainly will have not gone down well with the hierarchy or the fans.

Hopefully, for the Toffees, Keane is axed and Branthwaite is named in the playing eleven against the Hammers over the weekend.
