Everton and Roma player swap speculated as Alan Myers shares January transfer update
Bryan King has speculated that Everton and Roma could look to agree a player swap deal.
The ex-Goodison scout wouldn’t be surprised to see the club bring in fresh faces in January to help strengthen Sean Dyche’s squad.
According to Alan Myers via X (10 November), the Toffees could look to add “at least two” new players to Dyche’s squad in January.
And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – has suggested that Roma could help with that.
“Perhaps there is a player from Roma who could move to the Premier League,” King said.
“Maybe there is a potential swap deal on the cards which could help liven up Dyche’s squad.
“It does not surprise me that Everton are looking to strengthen the squad and bring in a couple of fresh faces.”
Everton and Roma to agree player swap as Dan Friedkin closes in on takeover at Goodison Park?
With everything on track for Roma owner Dan Friedkin to complete his Everton takeover (via Alan Myers, 1 November), it is no surprise that speculation might emerge over transfers between the two clubs.
Of course, should there be any Roma players of interest to Dyche and the Toffees, Friedkin’s impending takeover could certainly help make transfer negotiations that bit easier.
However, Everton cannot simply rely on the American to help the club sign players from Roma. While an opportunity might arise, it shouldn’t be forced.

Therefore, the Toffees should be scouting all over, and identifying players who can improve Dyche’s squad in January.
In other Everton news, Dyche will surely be concerned about one player at the club after a recent development.
