Everton eye shamed former Tottenham director Fabio Paratici for Goodison Park role

Fabio Paratici is already seen as a potential addition at Everton once the Friedkin Group complete their takeover, according to La Repubblica.

The Italian source reported [12 November], as relayed by Tuttomercatoweb, that Tottenham’s former managing director of football is a “very heard voice” at AS Roma, a club that the Friedkins own.

It is understood that, while serving a 30-month inhibition imposed by the Italian football governing body, he is able to operate with “reduced duties” until next June and is already being linked with a move to Goodison Park.

Everton to hire Fabio Paratici in senior role under Friedkin Group?

There are some very exciting times ahead for the Toffees as the Friedkin Group closes in on a deal to purchase Farhad Moshiri’s controlling stake at Goodison Park, but that will also come with changes.

Of course, one of the biggest ones is moving grounds to the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium, and there has also been a lot of talk over Sean Dyche’s job once the takeover is complete.

However, current director of football Kevin Thelwell might be checking over his shoulder as the Friedkin Group attempt to make the club their own and implement their own designs and ideas.

With the Toffees stagnating in the Premier League over the last few seasons, troubled by Moshiri’s guidance, there are bound to be a multitude of changes, and Paratici could be a rather controversial one.

Having been banned for Juventus’ “false accounting”, which was extended by FIFA to a worldwide ban [BBC Sport], it remains to be seen if his appointment would be welcomed on Merseyside.

He does have some serious knowledge of the Premier League, bringing several key players to Tottenham during his short time in North London, including the likes of Dejan Kulusevski and Cristian Romero.

The Toffees have been accused of being wasteful with their transfer budget over the years so including someone such as Paratici in important decisions could see them get the most out of their money.

In other Everton news, the Toffees are surely regretting a 2023 transfer decision after a former player scored a hat-trick recently.
