The Friedkin Group agree to Beto exit at Everton in new transfer developments

The Friedkin Group have agreed to let Beto leave Everton on loan until the end of the season with Torino in pole position to sign him, according to Calcio Mercato.

The Italian outlet reported on 16 November that the prospective Toffees owners don’t want to lose assets and will allow the 26-year-old to leave for six months.

This will allow the Guinea-Bissau international to revalue himself after suggesting his value has dropped to £16.7million.

A return to Serie A with Torino appears to be the most likely destination after Duvan Zapata suffered a serious injury in recent weeks.

The forward has generally struggled to find his feet in the Premier League since securing a move to Goodison from Udinese last year.

This has been in part due to a lack of regular chances to impress under Sean Dyche with Dominic Calvert-Lewin often preferred.

This has been despite a lack of form in front of goal for the Englishman while also refusing to sign a new contract with the club.

Even with that situation bubbling under the surface, Beto still hasn’t been handed that chance in the starting XI to make an impact regularly.

He has shown in recent weeks with a goal against Fulham and a ruled-out strike against Southampton that he knows where the net is.

Even if that is the case, it appears that Dyche and Friedkin’s minds are made up on the future of the striker with a return to Italy seemingly inbound.
